Did you know that the word sin is an archery term for missing the mark or target? In life as a noun we label sin as all the bad stuff, but as a verb isn’t it just us missing the mark? In archery the closer you are to the target the easier it is to hit the mark than if you are far away. In life the closer you are to Jesus, the easier it is to hit the mark too and keep from sin. In order to be closer to Jesus we have to be in His Word, in prayer, in worship, in fellowship with iron sharpening iron friends, and never take your eye off the target! 🏹✝️
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 NKJV
“Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.” I John 3:4-6 NKJV
