The Attack on Yuor Mind

The Attack on Your Mind

March 29, 2020

I was once told by a very wise mentor that we hear 4 voices in our head. The first is our own voice, the second is the voice of others (family/friends/coworkers...), the third the voice of God, and the fourth is the voice of the evil one. These voices can all sound like yourself at times, so sometimes it's rather difficult telling them apart. The bad part is three of these voices can speak lies, and that is especially the case of the enemy. The evil one’s goal is to attack our mind, to make us have questions, doubts, incorrect perceptions... a slight whisper, then our own brain takes over and due to a lack of understanding why someone said or did something, our mind starts to spin things in all directions and we get drug into this mental downward spiral of negativity with another person, without them even knowing it. Friends, our fight is not against each other, but against the evil spirits that are whispering these lies in our ears seeking to steal, kill, divide, and destroy families and relationships. The enemies lies slowly begin to sound like truth. Hurt feelings arise and possibly change to bitterness and anger, if not handled and resolved. Then the sinful flesh can take over in our own selfishness to protect and the ugly inside might slip out. Words get said, actions take place, division begins... We have to stop fighting each other whether in or minds or flesh and be willing to openly join together to fight the evil attacking us. To do this we must bring the doubt and lack of understanding to the light, have those tough conversations together, trust each other and take the risk to express our hurts. Ask questions to expose the enemies lies, and seek the truth, a new perspective with each other. We have to work together to accomplish this, we have to support each other, think the best of each other, regardless if everything is pointing the opposite direction, and especially cover each other in prayer, forgiveness, and love!

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
- ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
‭‭- John‬ ‭10:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”
‭‭- I Peter‬ ‭4:8-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
